Healthy Hot Cocoa 

Come warm up with this delicious, protein packed hot cocoa after a cold run.  Runners need to replenish carbs and proteins after running, but the chilly temps can make a cold protein smoothie less appealing.  This hot cocoa packs a powerful post-run boost for a chilly body!



  • 2 cups of quality, unsweetened Almond Milk- I prefer Califia Farms Almond Milk 
  • 1 tablespoon Trader Joe’s Cookie Crunch
  • 1 tablespoon Sun Foods Organic Sacha Inchi powder {2 grams of Carbs/6 grams of Protein}


  • 2 tablespoons Sun Food Organic Raw Cacao Powder
    {5 grams of Protein/11 Grams of Carbs}

    Directions: Place all ingredients in Vitamix or high powered blender and blend till smooth. I use the “hot soup” setting on my Vitamix to heat, but the contents can be poured in to a mug to heat in microwave.
